OBJECTIVE

To become familiar with threats while working in the field, the risks journalists
take and their vulnerability in relation to threats and risks.

You will identify the threats you face, the risks you take and the vulnerabilities
you, as a journalist, have. You will identify possible responses to them. At the
end of the course, you will be required to revisit this session to see if your
perception of threat, risks and vulnerabilities has become nuanced, as have your
understanding or possible responses.
